Objectives of the IIP Cell

a) Industrial training and visits of students and faculties to Jute Industry.
b) Training of existing personnel of the jute industry.
c) Technical interactions through seminars, workshops and refresher courses.
d) Testing and Inspection of jute goods.
e) Placement of students.
f) Technical discussions and consultancy on problems of jute industry.
g) Publications of Technical Manuals and Articles for jute industry.
h) Generating funds from Industry through training, seminars, workshops, testing/consultancy, inspection etc.

Faculty members and other experts of the Industry are involved with the above activities. Training programmes are also conducted at one Mills also.
