4-Year B. Tech. Course in Jute & Fibre Technology has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation under All India Council for Technical Education for three years with effect from 20.07.2005 vide letter No. NBA/ACCR-293/03 dt. 13.09.2005.

Moreover, the 4-Year B.Tech. Course in Jute & Fibre Technology and the 4-Semester M.Tech. Course have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education vide letter No. 750-80-106(E)/ET/05 dt. 25.06.05 and 750-80-106(E)/ET/05 dt. 19.09.2005.
